Job Description:
The Navajo Tribal Utility Authority is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water/Wastewater Foreman to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising employees, planning and organizing work duties, and ensuring compliance with regulatory laws and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise employees, including selection, training, performance appraisal, and work allocation
* Plan, organize, and schedule work duties for assigned staff
* Ensure compliance with surface water treatment rules of the Safe Water Drinking Act
* Investigate customer complaints and recommend courses of action
* Conduct routine inspections of water distribution systems and inform appropriate staff of recommended maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
* High School Diploma or GED Certificate
* Vocational / Specialized Training in Water/Wastewater Construction/Operations
* Journeyman Certification from a Bonafide Apprenticeship program as a Master System Operator
* 5-7 years' experience in Water/Wastewater Construction/Operations
* 2 years of Supervisory experience required
* Proficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, MS Projects, Project Management, and Outlook)
* Valid Commercial Driver's License, Class A with HAZMAT Endorsement (subject to motor vehicle record review)
Working Conditions:
* Must be able to perform standby duties
* Conducts safety meeting presentations
