MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Bachelor's in Engineering field.
5 - 7 years of experience in Supervisory Control Systems.
5 - 7 years of experience in data entry.
5 - 7 years of experience in utility systems training.
5 - 7 years of experience in utility operations preferred.
Supervisor Experience is required.
Valid Driver's License (subject to motor vehicle record review)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Supervises the SCADA operation of NTUA's utility systems for maximum economy, reliability consistent with safety rules, contractual commitments and general utility practices.
Uses computerized supervisory control software to conduct utilities system operations.
Plans, coordinates and reviews the work of the Utility System Dispatchers.
Monitors and directs the activities of field personnel using all forms of communications equipment required to operate, maintain and service the electric, water/wastewater and gas systems.
Communicates directly with field personnel to issue holds on a circuit, directs the installation or removal of hold tags and coordinates activities associated with service disconnects, service restoration and switching.
Monitors the electric, water/wastewater, gas systems and takes corrective action on system events.
Provides technical assistance and training to Utility System Dispatchers.
Develops and reviews load data, load duration curves and load projections as part of the planning process.
Develops system protection and coordination studies.
Coordinates maintenance on the mobile radio, microwave, and telephone switching equipment, and maintains appropriate logs.
Communicates directly with customers and others regarding service.
Prepares records, reports and correspondence as required.
Maintains all SCADA System Control records, including but not limited to maps, service calls, dispatching, collection and analysis of system data as required.
Prepares preliminary or final plans, specifications, feasibility studies, cost estimates, and report on projects.
Provides engineering support, design, and implementation for electric and substation supervisory control and data acquisition systems.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
