**Position Duties/Responsibilities**
- You will develop standards for Avionics Systems Engineers, certify position eligibility and manage certification process.
- You will continuously monitor and assess evolving management issues, emerging technologies, changing operational requirements, higher-level mandates, and NAVAIR corporate goals and objectives.
- You will participate in the formulation of alternative strategies for accomplishing the branch mission in response to both prevailing resource constraints and changing program requirements.
- You will use knowledge, experience and initiative to derive alternative administrative, management, and technical approaches for solving problems.
- You will exercise independent judgment and resourcefulness in applying the latest management techniques to maximize each engineer's effectiveness and to focus resources on the most critical projects or areas of responsibility.
- You will maintain contact with officials from other competencies, PEO's, PMAs, other Department and Commands, other service personnel, contractor representatives, and domestic and foreign managers involved in the development of avionics systems.
- You will cooperate with other Departments and Commands to adopt technical standards, concepts or approaches, and suggests changes to technical policies and procedures with higher authority.
