Position Description
You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT) in the Quality Assurance Division, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Compliance and Quality Department of FRC WESTPAC DET IWAKUNI.

Position Duties / Responsibilities
You will perform a variety of duties concerned with the planning, developing, maintaining and improving effective Quality and Reliability Assurance activities associated with depot level maintenance, overhaul, modification, and manufacture.
You will review technical data and work specifications for adequacy, accuracy and compatibility with quality requirements.
You will identify and write Local Command Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
You will perform as a functional specialist and be responsible for identifying, understanding, proofing, measuring, and analyzing contractor’s production process capability.
You will conduct product, process, program, and system audits to determine compliance with instructions and directives.
You will collect internal and external generated data for analysis in order to determine the adequacy of quality and reliability operations to detect program weakness and to predict major causes of failures.
You will investigate and resolve discrepancies between contractor requirements and maintenance specifications.
