Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (MIL) in the Navy Recruiting District of NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT LOS ANGELES. Responsibilities You will develop performance standards (e.g., guidelines, criteria, priorities) for junior employees. You will write directives (e.g., policies, practices, procedures) for military personnel actions. You will research historical military personnel documentation to recommend improved operations or action processing. You will assign work, set priorities, and develop plans for subordinates. You will ensure proper training is administered to employees on changes in methods and procedures and that training is given to new employees as needed. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : 1) Adhering to civilian and military personnel regulations, policies, and principles to ensure regulatory compliance and provide advisory services; 2) Writing and preparing correspondence and briefs; 3) Utilizing computer systems to include document management, database systems, and other systems that support military personnel programs; and 4) Demonstrating a broad range of military personnel program relationship knowledge and knowledge of specific programs to modify standard practice, adapt guides, or develop new approaches to program issues.
