Summary You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the PUBLIC WORKS DIVISION of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST. Responsibilities You will monitor and track the successful completion of goals and standards set by higher echelons. You will ensure NAVFAC PW personnel procuring or receiving material are entering required supplier performance and quality information data into the PDREP Automated Information System. You will advise on the status of the program and problems that require solutions to higher level officials' involvement. You will maintain data in an automated inventory system to ensure equipment assets are received, tagged, tracked, inventoried, and disposed in a timely manner. You will collaborate with equipment specialists, engineers, and cognizant personnel to verify descriptive data and usage information of supply parts. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : 1) Processing knowledge of inventory management policies and procedures to maintain material accountability and improve auditability; 2) Using NAVFAC's internal control programs (PDREP, EPIC) and their role in ensuring compliance and efficiency in inventory management; 3) Knowing supply system operations, procedures, and regulations, including how they apply to the FEC and PWD environments; 4) Being proficient evaluating and improving inventory management processes, developing local procedures, and implementing corrective actions; 5) Applying Microsoft Office suite, Maximo, and ERP systems to retrieve, process, and analyze inventory data; and 6) Executing strong leadership and communication skills to develop and present training, coordinate problem resolution, and articulate findings to stakeholders.
