The Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southwest is seeking qualified candidates for the Air Program Manager at NASF. This position is located in the Environmental Division within the Public Works Department at NASF.
The Air Program Manager is responsible for aspects of NASF’s environmental program including Air Media Compliance and pollution prevention actions, processing environmental permits, licenses, and working with installation personnel to ensure related air program permit conditions are not violated.
Primary duties and responsibilities :
- Review, interpret and implement new air emissions regulations, instructions, and regulations for the command.
- Provide technical expertise in air compliance issues, policies, and regulations to promote compliance with air pollution laws and regulations.
- Apply the latest developments in environmental engineering (e.g., air, water, hazardous waste) to resolve problems for which accepted methods are not directly applicable.
- Recommend environmental-related improvements for engineering or design of projects to modify existing facilities or construct new facilities.
- Facilitate the resolution of unique or complex project issues through planning, design, and construction.
- Coordinate compliance efforts with regard to environmental laws (e.g., Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Toxic Substance Control Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act) and work with environmental regulatory agencies (e.g., Environmental Protection Agency, Nevada Division of Environmental Protection).
