As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering projects within scope, on schedule, and on budget. You will provide independent, timely and professional design and engineering services on assigned projects for the Navy and other Supported Commands, including special projects, military construction (MILCON), demolition, maintenance, space utilization and facilities development.

Responsibilities for this role include :

  • You will review design and construction projects from both a technical and an economic standpoint.
  • You will conduct engineering evaluations to determine conditions of existing facilities and associated systems (e.g., heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration [HVAC]).
  • You will create written documents (e.g., specifications, test requirement documents, drawings) to justify modifications.
  • You will negotiate agreements with agencies, contractors, or developers with conflicting interests or opinions.
  • Competent, action oriented, and capable of working independently to take required actions through initiative, experience and foresight to deliver completed projects with critical, time-sensitive missions and functions.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) is required.

  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS :

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to obtain, maintain and use a Government travel card
  • Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • P.E. License
  • Must hold U.S. Citizenship
  • Aged 18 or older at time of hire
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment
