The Naval Foundry and Propeller Center (NFPC) is a modern manufacturing facility that occupies a 17-acre site at the Philadelphia Navy Yard with more than 750,000 square feet of industrial and administrative floor space. NFPC employs a highly skilled and versatile workforce of engineers, trades people and support personnel who specialize in advanced engineering, castings, and precision machining.

Job Description
The incumbent works in the Procurement branch of the Business Office, which overseas planning, specification writing, programming, estimating, quality assurance & material specification.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Technical Guidance, Acts as an independent contributor providing technical engineering guidance and assistance on production, construction and maintenance projects. Performs prices analysis of proposed work and participates in contract negotiations and the inspection of ongoing and completed contract actions.
- Project Management, Reviews and assist production shop, engineering, facility & support personnel for planning and acquisition strategy or projects.
Qualifications Required for the Position
- Comprehensive and practical knowledge of technical engineering concepts, principles and practices necessary to perform the full range of projects concerned with molding and machining services and affiliated contracts.
- Thorough understanding of team dynamics and the ability to communicate with stakeholders from multiple backgrounds and at multiple levels
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management techniques such as cost estimating, schedule development risk and opportunity assessment, metrics development and performance tracking and strategic planning.
Security Clearance / Background Check required. Your candidacy is subject to approval and acceptance.
