Job Description
The Painter is responsible for performing a variety of painting duties, including preparing surfaces, mixing and matching paints, applying paint to surfaces, and ensuring a high-quality finish. The incumbent may work independently or as part of a team, following specific instructions and guidelines to complete painting projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Ability to blast and produce a surface profile ready for coating; Ability to build up, fair, shape and level suing a variety of knifing and trowel compounds.
- Ability to identify coating materials and match tint and tone.
- Apply paint to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Use masking tape and other protective materials to protect surfaces not to be painted.
- Ability to set up pumps and spray equipment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Complete painting projects within established timeframes and budgetary constraints.
Qualifications Required for the Position
- Previous experience in painting.
- Knowledge of painting techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds and platforms, and in situations where the surfaces to be coated are in cramped and hard-to-reach places. This requires the ability to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and set up materials and equipment that weigh up to 10 pounds. Occasionally, may be required to handle materials and equipment that weigh 50 pounds and over.
