Job Description

The Integrated Plant Analysis Development unit within Reactor Technology is seeking a Nuclear / Thermal Hydraulic Engineer to join the team. The newest team member will join a team that develops and maintains a suite of thermal-hydraulic codes used to support reactor safety and reactor performance analyses of both carrier and submarine platforms, develop modeling methodologies, support the execution of experimental testing for code qualification, and interface with external collaborators, such as Idaho National Laboratory (INL). There is potential to grow as both as an engineering modeler and / or software developer.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field.

Preferred Skills

• Thermal hydraulics coursework, thermal hydraulics laboratory experience, or applied mathematics experience in the solution of sparse linear systems
• Computer programming experience
• Fundamental understanding of thermal hydraulics relevant to reactor core and / or plant behavior
• Experience in code development in a team setting
• Fortran programming experience

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range

62,000.00 - $94,900.00 annually
