Job Description
The Naval Reactors Facility (NRF) is seeking a skilled Hot Cell Engineer (Mechanical, Materials Science, Chemical, Nuclear, or Electrical) to support cutting-edge examinations of nuclear materials in remote hot cell environments. Join our Hot Cell Engineering (HCE) team to help maintain the U.S. Navy's technological edge through groundbreaking work in nuclear material handling and data acquisition.
As a Hot Cell Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to design and procure specialized equipment, develop processes, provide operator training, troubleshoot technical challenges, and contribute to unique and complex projects. This role provides significant autonomy, a high level of ownership over assigned equipment and processes, and involvement in critical research and development projects with material science and chemical applications. Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; orMaster's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously NPE qualified; or CTE / ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range
83,600.00 - $130,700.00 annually
