The Core Manufacturing (CM) team is seeking an experienced engineer to join the team in Pittsburgh, PA. CM has opportunities for you to help coordinate and oversee ongoing core production activities as well as help develop the manufacturing processes of tomorrow. CM engineers work with a wide range of stakeholders to solve complex real-world problems that are encountered during the manufacturing process, regularly balancing quality with cost/schedule. CM engineers also regularly team with vendor engineers to develop improved and more efficient manufacturing processes with a focus on improved manufacturing margin, improved performance, reduced cost, and/or reduced span.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing setting
- Prior experience in a mechanical design function
- Prior experience in data analytics, statistics, or electrical engineering
- Demonstrated ability to team/collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
