Job Description
Shipyard Field Engineering is looking for dynamic individuals to work at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard Reactor Plant Contractors' Office (RPCO). This growth and development position offers significant autonomy. Positions are available in Integrated Plant Testing and Refueling Services.
Key Responsibilities
- Play a significant role in integrating the efforts of multiple stakeholders to ensure the success of naval nuclear ship maintenance and construction.
- Conduct highly visible work with a broad spectrum of responsibility, including technical support, consultation, and oversight through the performance of installation, testing, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of complex equipment and nuclear systems.
- Engage in a shipboard industrial environment meeting directly with ship's force, senior shipyard leadership, and Naval Reactors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or SRE qualified.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Previous experience in applying innovative solutions to resolve problems/improve performance.
