What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mid-Level Nuclear Operations Expert position at Naval Nuclear Laboratory?
This position offers a challenging opportunity to work in radiological response and emergency planning. As a Mid-Level Emergency Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing site evaluation exercises, outreach with outside agencies, managing emergency response organization qualification program and records, conduct and develop training for responders, manage emergency equipment to ensure constant ready for use status, and managing emergency plans and procedures.
A strong understanding of radiological data packages, emergency response, self-assessment, and interaction with senior staff members and outside regulators is essential for this role. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience are required, or a Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience.
