Job Description

Shipboard Electrical Systems (SES) is seeking a Project Manager to join our team! This exciting opportunity is focused on projects in the I&C Information Technology business area of SES. You will be responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring project objectives and operational needs are met while maintaining high standards of quality. Key responsibilities include defining project scope, developing detailed project plans, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies. You will serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities will be crucial to our success.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; orMasters degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing IT projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
• Demonstrated success developing or using various project planning tools (e.g. MS Project / Primavera / A3 Sheets / etc.).
• A self starter with a desire to drive change within an organization.
• Demonstrated success in using process improvement techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Project Management Professional (PMP / PMI) certification or NNL PM certification.
• Experience developing, testing or qualifying electrical, I&C systems / equipment or software.

Pay Range

103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities : Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world-class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nations submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets.
