This position requires rotating shift work and occasional overtime.Job duties may include : Directs daily operations of assigned work. Directs the work activity of skilled hourly employees such as production (technicians), testing (technicians), craft (electricians, carpenters, mechanics), and clerical (data entry, material tracking) workers. Responsible for ensuring the correct and timely execution of manual work : operation, maintenance, and protection of the physical plant (i.e., the site), as well as fabrication of hardware and conducting tests, including nuclear safety of when handling nuclear fuel. Responsible for clear verbal communication of work and work issues for senior management. Exercises leadership qualities to influence and enlist the support of assigned personnel reports in the accomplishment of the assigned tasks. Decision has a direct impact on work unit operations. Erroneous decisions or recommendations, or failure to achieve results, might cause delays in schedules.Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred Skills Proven experience in leadership role(s). Proven experience in directing technical work.
