SUPERVISORY TECHNICIAN.

Duties

• You will serve as the section manager of the Model Shop Prototyping Section (WXRTL) within the Platform Protection and Countermeasures Technologies Division of the Spectrum Warfare Department.
• You will provide technical leadership and supervisory oversight to employees within the organization.
• You will be responsible for the planning of human resources, facilities, and funding requirements to complete the workload.
• You will be able to effectively mitigate problems/issues, weigh all potential solutions, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
• You will design and implement programs that support the Department's mission requirements and formulate goals, plans and methods of evaluation.
• You will anticipate and analyze risks to resources, products, programs and processes and implements effective control measures.
• You will monitor and coordinate tasking and continuous work for the branch's internal and external customers and shall continuously market new customers.
• You will establish and track personnel expectations, provides and maintains personnel training requirements, manages and approves administrative duties as it pertains to timekeeping and ERP.
• You will develop funding schedules that support current and future infrastructure and plans for growth.
• You will demonstrate strong leadership skills, innovative thinking ability and management skills to provide employees continuous creative ideas to meet and exceed customer needs.
• You will develop procedures to improve quality of services, products and processes for customers.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• There is possibility of injury from flying metal chips, ect. and danger from cutting tools, grinding wheels, and moving part of machines.
• The work is performed in a typical office surroundings and in workshops and industrial areas. The incumbent is exposed to hazards normally found in these environments.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  
  

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-4 (GS-11/12 grade equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing technical and administrative oversight in the research and development of warfare technologies to identify shortcomings and recommend solutions for the support and success of a weapons program.
