Duties
- You will coordinate assigned tasks, anticipate in preventing costly delays, resolve problems affecting cost, scheduling, and performance of contracts.
- You will serve as financial manager for all funding projects, ensure funds are adequate and provided in a timely manner to prevent an adverse impact on work schedules.
- You will coordinate review of Field Modification Requisitions (FMRs) and shipwork line item numbers (SWLIN), prior to issue and ensure technical accuracy and compliance regarding cost and delivery.
- You will ensure Project Office is appropriately and properly staffed to workload.
- You will set priorities and goals for assigned projects.
- You will communicate directly with the Supervisor of Shipbuilding and his Deputy on status of projects.
- You will ensure equipment and facilities are adequate to support projects and Project Office personnel.
- You will establish procedures for overall coordination of key events such as docking/undocking, fast cruise and ship's trials, verify ships are ready for sea trials, and arrange for required services, schedules, agenda test forms and trial riders.
