ADMINISTRATIVE / TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as an Administrative / Technical Specialist in the ACQUISITION & READINESS ASSMT DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. Responsibilities You will serve as the Division's Operations Manager. You will be responsible for managing division budget, developing / tracking division management metrics, overseeing division support contracts, and facilities planning. You will be responsible for administrative processes, division training, safety, security, and other support as assigned to ensure continuity of operations. You will communicate and collaborate across the Division, with other members of the Department, and across the Command, as well as with outside organizations to ensure compliance and continuity with higher level policies and processes. You will provide positive leadership and will be a role model to the workforce. You will lead strategic planning initiatives, improvement initiatives, customer / employee satisfaction surveys, data calls, work acceptance, work assignment, and tasking requirements. You will provide technical expertise for managers to develop processes to manage project proposals, manage projects, document key processes, and document success stories. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For NT-05 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-04 (GS-11 / 12 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying analytical and evaluative methods to oversee the development and management of administrative and operational functions in the execution of business operations. For NT-04 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band NT-03 (GS-9 / 10 equivalent) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying analytical methods to business practices and administrative operating procedures including developing recommendations to improve program operations and increase productivity.

• Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows : A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree; OR An LL.M. degree in a field directly related to the position being filled; OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The NT-04 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-11 and GS-12. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
