Qualifications:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-3 pay band (GS-9 through GS-11 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer applying principles of fire protection engineering to mitigate fire damage by proper design, construction, or arrangement of facilities. Examples of qualifying experience may include (1) specific detailed knowledge of fire protection engineering for facility design, building envelope repair, structural analysis, and ability to synthesize and collaborate with other engineering disciplines on design and construction execution teams; (2) researching, designing, and specifying electrical equipment and systems to meet client and code requirements in both large and small facility projects; (3) consulting on electrical systems and equipment designs for a wide range of projects, and working with other architects, engineers, project managers, and construction professionals as needed to create and/or modify design parameters; (4) analyzing electrical systems and equipment when necessary to find inefficiencies or malfunctions and create solutions to optimize performance and increase the efficiency of facility operations.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=GS-PROF
