Responsibilities You will develop and maintain processes, programs and products to improve the identification and availability of ship material. You will seek new approaches in resolving problems for which no precedent or guides exist. You will develop, issue and maintain a variety of documentation essential to the proper functioning of assigned programs. You will monitor the progress of, and compliance with, instructions and specifications for work performed within the activity, by contractors, and by other activities. You will consult with engineers and technicians, both internal and external to the activity, to discuss technical aspects of work assignments and to resolve technical problems. You will plan for and schedule acquisition and refurbishment of material related to assigned programs to include coordinating the necessary selection, procurement, and funding efforts. You will develop long-range plans, budgets, and procedures. You will represent the activity in discussions, conferences, and liaison with other activities, both government and private. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : analyzing and evaluating maintenance management logistical issues and providing guidance on timely coordinated solutions associated with material and equipment for a ship or submarine maintenance program.
