Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPS) in the Waterfront Operations Department of SUPSHIP. Responsibilities You will conduct reviews of contract requirements, contract guidance plans, contract plans, specification and all other related documents. You will ensure actions are in conformance with contract and specification requirements and that reporting requirements are met. You will collaborate with management and working levels of other organizational units to determine and / or coordinate work. You will prepare technical reports for internal distribution. You will present project and program briefings to obtain approval. You will identify and resolve complex problems that may cross functional / technical boundaries and promulgate solutions. You will lead cost analysis efforts. You will develop and manage the annual branch budget for training, overtime and travel costs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NJ-03 pay band (GS-11 equivalent) grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following : Managing ship functions (i.e. design, development, construction, certification, or delivery) for projects to ensure compliance with contract and specification requirements. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.
