Summary You will serve as a TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER (ADMINISTRATIVE / TECHNICAL) in the ACQUISITION & READINESS ASSMT Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV. Responsibilities You will serve as a technical expert who can work independently, and able to direct the work of lower level specialist in conjunction to the organizational plans and strategy. You will serve as the contact point for the sponsor, stakeholders, and external customers, with the ability to appropriately and professionally represent the organization and coordinate with other projects. You will monitor project activities and resources to mitigate risk and implement project plans to meet objectives. You will Manage, lead, or administer project resources and identify project documentation requirements or procedures. You will develop, modify, or provide input to project plans. You will provide individual expertise and experience to address ad hoc task teams that effectively answers project problems that arise. You will purchase or contract for IT services, equipment, products, supplies, property, or other items. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS 11-12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing or evaluating financial and business operations (e.g., project requirements to develop plans, cost estimates, making recommendations) to increase program efficiency for an organization. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and / or unusual duty hours may be required. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments. ICTAP candidates must provide copies of all of the following documentation at the time of application : 1) agency notice; 2) most recent performance appraisal; and 3) most recent SF-50 or notification of personnel action that includes position, grade level, and duty location.
