What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intermediate Scheduler position at Naval Systems, Inc.?
Description: NSI requires an Intermediate Scheduler to support contracted efforts. The scheduler will operate as part of an integrated product team working closely with engineers and logisticians and other program office personnel in support of consolidated support operations. The scheduler shall assist, develop, support, and deliver schedules and reports using the Project Server/SharePoint framework associated with collecting, integrating, updating, and disseminating reports, to include deliverables and dependencies for Acquisition and Source Selection Project Schedules; Perform Critical Path Analysis; Integrate Government and Contractor Schedules into Integrated Master Schedules; Develop program plans and schedules and provide inputs for Acquisition Plans, Source Selection Plans (SSP), Acquisition Strategy Plans (ASP) and Acquisition Strategy Boards (ASB); Develop and maintain program/project/directorate Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) in support of new acquisitions and contract actions; Identify and resolve conflicts with schedules and resources.
Tasks Performed:
- Responsible for development and integration of program and enterprise level schedule, schedule analysis, and reporting of results to senior leadership
- Must be able to work closely with Government and contractor personnel to gather data and present schedule analysis
- Familiarity with DoD development programs and processes is highly desired
- Develop and maintain detailed Integrated Government Schedules (IGS)
- Report on schedule status and track deadlines
- Review project documents such as Statements of Work (SOW), Integrated - - Master Plans (IMP) and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
- Identify critical path tasks
- Analyze schedule impact based on evolving scenarios
Location: Lexington Park, MD
Education: BS or BA degree.
Experience: 3 years’ experience as a scheduler, preferably in support of DoD programs. Experience with MS Project, SharePoint and schedule reporting tools (i.e. Milestones Professional, One Pager Pro)
Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
