Navan is seeking a strong and motivated Senior Tax Analyst to join our growing Tax team. The Senior Tax Analyst will assist the tax team in all matters of income tax globally. The role will be based either in our Palo Alto Headquarters or San Francisco and will report to the US Senior Tax Manager.

What You’ll Do
- Prepare the quarterly and annual worldwide consolidated income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
- Prepare federal and state income tax return workpapers, review international income tax returns
- Work with business partners to gather information and analysis for income tax reporting
- Manage income tax notices, payments, and related processes
- Assist with tax planning projects, including modeling and forecasting of tax impacts
- Drive tax process improvements, technological enhancements, and evolution of the tax reporting function
- Monitor legislative, administrative, and judicial developments and quantify tax impacts
- Support business expansion needs, including research on tax requirements, obligations in new markets, and obtaining new tax registrations and licenses
- Work closely with third-party consultants to ensure all income tax requirements are achieved both timely and accurately
- Manage the tax calendar for all income tax filing obligations
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA a plus)
- 3 years public accounting experience in income tax compliance and provision
- Proactive and resourceful team player with positive attitude and energy in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload to meet tight deadlines
- Excellent communication (verbal and written)
- Excellent use of Excel, Google Suite, Sage Fixed Assets, and Netsuite ERP
