Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Escrow Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the escrow process for real estate transactions, ensuring that all documents are accurate and funds are properly handled. This role requires a strong understanding of real estate contracts, mortgage servicing, and compliance with Fair Housing regulations. The Escrow Officer will work closely with buyers, sellers, lenders, and real estate agents to facilitate smooth transactions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the escrow process from initiation to closing, ensuring all necessary documents are collected and processed.
- Review and prepare closing documents, including contracts and settlement statements.
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, and other parties involved in the transaction.
- Ensure compliance with TILA regulations and Fair Housing laws throughout the escrow process.
- Conduct credit analysis and verify financial information as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to escrow accounts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries from clients and stakeholders promptly.
- Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to closing costs and disbursements.
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry tasks efficiently.
Skills
- Proficient knowledge of TILA regulations, mortgage servicing, underwriting processes, and real estate contracts.
- Strong analytical skills for credit analysis and financial assessments.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
