Position provides support to ICP Safeguards and Security program as needed to ensure security requirements are met and documentation, facilities, and equipment are maintained. Provide security access controls and maintain accurate accountability of all individuals entering and exiting the Radioactive Waste Management Complex (RWMC) Advanced Mixed Waste Treatment Facility
(AMWTP). Issue/maintain badge inventory and verification of security badges. Maintains security key program and associated documentation. Answer phones and conduct radio communications as required. Responsible for the security coordination of all visits, tours, and vendors. Responsible for maintaining security and emergency management records in accordance with DOE records management requirements. Assists security personnel with special projects as needed. Responsible for maintaining security and emergency management records in accordance with DOE records management requirements. Assists security personnel with special projects as needed. Specific duties include:
- Provide security access controls and maintain personnel accountability at the RWMC south gate (AMWTP) and RWMC gate Post 301.
- Operate and maintain the security electronic access control system at the RWMC south gate and RWMC gate Post 301, including enrollment, AMWTP badge issuance, maintaining badge inventory, and badge verification
- Immediate response to emergencies and provide support to the emergency response organization
- Issue temporary badges, including verifying training as necessary, and maintain all facility access logs and badge inventories
- Maintain checkout keys to all secured areas and maintain all key records
- Coordinate processing of tours, visitors and vendors, and issue radiological dosimeters as needed
- Answer phones and conduct radio communications. Provide administrative support for various activities to the Safeguards, Security & Emergency Management organization. Provide support to AMWTP Operations as requested
- Vocational Certificate plus 7 years relevant experience
- Experience working in security programs is preferred.
- Must be willing and able to work at Site facilities, including 12-hour shifts, whenever necessary including weekends.
- A sliding schedule of four (4) on four (4) off,
- Working M-Th with 4 12 hour days
- Must have proficiency with Windows operating systems
