Navarro is seeking a Technical Writer to support our Proposal Department in developing, writing, and refining proposals for DOE, DOD, and NASA contracts. The ideal candidate will have experience translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and persuasive proposal content while ensuring compliance with federal solicitation requirements. This is an onsite position at our Headquarters. Remote work is not available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and edit technical content for proposals, ensuring clarity, compliance, and alignment with solicitation requirements.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop compelling narratives and win themes.
- Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other solicitation documents to ensure all requirements are addressed.
- Develop and refine proposal sections, including technical approaches, management plans, past performance narratives, and resumes.
- Work closely with the Proposal Manager, Technical Editor, and Production Specialist to meet deadlines and ensure high-quality submissions.
- Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging across proposal documents.
- Revise and refine content based on feedback from review teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience writing technical content for federal proposals, preferably for DOE, DOD, or NASA.
- Strong understanding of government contracting and proposal development processes (Shipley or similar methodology preferred).
- Excellent research, writing, and editing skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat; experience with proposal automation tools is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and SMEs.
