Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting for a Communications Specialist in Richland, WA. This is a Co-Op position.

This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA, and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. The Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).

Support Navarro-ATL's Communications organization by creating and implementing materials that target audiences via social media, press releases, campaigns and newsletters. Work with the organization to tell a proactive story and produce high-quality content, support events.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, edit, and write narratives for Navarro-ATL to support strategic priorities
• Identify stories and produce high quality written materials for Navarro-ATL electronic, print, web, video, and media outlets
• Coordinate the design and copywriting of materials
• Interview source persons and research subjects in order to obtain information and verify facts
• Support event planning activities
• Other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Communications or English
• Combination of investigative, planning, and social media experience and skills
• Understanding of Associated Press style guidelines
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Canva, SharePoint software

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)

Soph: $17.70/hr.

Jr: $19.36/hr.

Sr: $22.49/hr.

Post Grad: $25.71/hr.
