CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN
New Cumberland & Central PA
The CMT Technician inspects the contractors' work and performs field soil and concrete material testing to verify the work is performed in accordance with project specifications.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform field materials testing of soil, asphalt, masonry and concrete
- Prepare detailed and accurate field reports on a daily basis
- Report to Project Managers, CMT Supervisors, contractors regarding construction issues
- Update Supervisor on progress and delays on every project
- Responsible for the safe use and maintenance of individually assigned company vehicle and field equipment
- Must follow and enforce all safety standards
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires extended periods of time working outdoors with moderate to heavy (75 lbs) lifting on a regular basis. The individual must be able to walk and stand continuously throughout the day. The ability to work a flexible schedule (including days, nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed with occasional overnight and out of town assignments) is required.
