What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Clerk/Forklift Operator position at Navco Logistics, LLC?
We currently have a unique employment opportunity for a reliable, hard-working, and motivated individual to support our new Laredo location.
This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, handling both administrative and physical tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of operating forklifts.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and load containers accurately to fulfill customer orders.
- Offload trailers using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand (up to 60 lbs) safely.
- Check shipments for discrepancies and damages.
- Prepare and manage paperwork for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Meet customer order requirements in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse that complies with safety regulations.
- Keep accurate inventory records.
- Communicate regularly with the main office to inform them of warehouse operations and address any issues.
Requirements
- Forklift experience required.
- Strong communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to think logically, follow procedures, and make sound decisions.
- Proficient in Excel and Outlook.
- Physical Requirements - Stand, walk, bend forward, squat, lift, carry, push and pull up to 60 lbs. As well as having solid hand and foot coordination, strong vision and hearing, and awareness of surroundings.
- Safety Requirments - Report safety hazards; Immediately report incidents involving injury, illness, or property damage; Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, and rules
