Job Summary:
The Paralegal at Nave Law plays a pivotal role with two primary functions:
Collaborate with Attorneys: Assisting attorneys by managing their schedules, scheduling client meetings and court appearances, drafting correspondence for clients, courts, prosecutors' offices, and opposing counsel, preparing legal documents, and maintaining the time management program.
Client-Centered Service: Delivering exceptional service to clients, which includes promptly responding to calls and emails within 24 hours, providing regular updates, and ensuring clients have a clear understanding of the status of their case and the forthcoming steps.

- Participate or lead in weekly department meetings.
Paralegal
- Handle a caseload between 125-150 cases range.
- Contact all new clients to introduce themselves, schedule initials, and invite them to Clio For Clients.
- Ensure attorneys they are working with always have an accurate calendar, which includes;
- Calendar court appearances,
- Deadlines for filing various legal documents, meetings and essential reminders for each file,
- Draft legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings;
- Summarize depositions, interrogatories, and testimony;
- Conduct necessary legal research;
- Scan and save documents to clients' electronic files and maintain physical files as outlined per the firm's File Management System.
- Communication with clients about Court dates, Adjournments, Case Updates, Follow up's, Customer Service (ensuring contact is made every two weeks)
- General office duties include handling mail, copying, faxing, and filing;
- Review cases with attorneys every month
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant; and
- Experince in the following areas of law: Criminal Defense/DWI
- Capable of performing all essential job duties and responsibilities.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies;
- Paralegal Certification preferred;
- Experience (or an expressed desire to learn) drafting basic legal documents for review by Attorneys, such as discovery demands, motions, applications for criminal record sealing, and certificates of relief from disabilities;
- Capable of (or an expressed desire to learn) using legal research databases such as Westlaw, FastCase, or LexisNexis
- Familiarity with CLIO, legal CRM.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
