Position Summary | ||
This position will oversee the day-to-day operation of Navia’s distribution center. It will work in a team environment representing Navia in a professional, friendly and knowledgeable manner via e-mail, phone conversations, and in-person. This position will assist the department manager with constructive feedback on employee performance and with the development and training of new staff members as well as the coordination of the workflow within the department. This position should assist with goals as they relate to the objectives of the department. | ||
Essential Functions |
• Train and supervise distribution center staff on all processes
• Ensure successful completion of daily incoming and outgoing mail
• Coordinate pick-up and delivery of mail at end of day
• Ensure overnight/expedited mail and shipping of packages is completed in timely
manner
• Manage claims scanning process ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Look for ways to increase efficiency within the department
• Communicate with multiple departments throughout the company to coordinate
various mail jobs
• Properly handle confidential information and materials to help avoid potential HIPPA
violations
• Have the ability to troubleshoot both office equipment and mailing software (OMS)
• Various reporting responsibilities
• Maintain awareness of inventory needs (paper, envelopes, etc.) and order
• Communicate issues to department manager
• Place service calls and work directly with vendors, as needed
• Keep distribution center clean and organized
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements |
• CA Driver’s license, proof of insurance, and vehicle
• Understand how to operate all necessary equipment including, but not limited to,
copier, postage machine, and inserter
• Clear understanding of OMS platform and various job types
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Good attendance
• Good work attitude, adaptability and multi-tasking abilities
• Independent/self-motivated work style and ability to work in team environment
• Willingness to work outside scheduled work hours as needed, especially during our busy
season
• Basic understanding of services offered by Navia and the department of the position
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable providing constructive feedback
• Demonstrate ability to provide leadership and guidance both internally and externally
• This position must have the ability to accept corrective criticism from your peers as well
as your subordinates.
• Ability to identify and resolve issues independently
• Professionalism
• High attention to detail
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good organizational skills
• May require light to moderate lifting (40 lbs)
