- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and motions; cite-check and Shepardize cases; and manage document databases for case tracking and discovery
- Organize trial materials, assist in creating trial binders and exhibits, and support attorneys during depositions, hearings, and trials
- File legal documents in state and federal courts and coordinate service of documents
- Work with legal software, including Relativity, LexisNexis, and Westlaw, for case analysis and eDiscovery
- Coordinate efforts among attorneys, clients, outside legal counsel, and vendors
Requirements:
- 1-year experience as a Litigation Paralegal for individuals with a bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate
- Without a degree or certificate: 5 years of legal support experience in litigation
- Must have strong skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with legal software such as Relativity, LexisNexis, Westlaw or similar applications required
- Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
- Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner
- Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product
- Successfully meet deadlines, and expectations, and perform work duties as required
- Foster positive work relationships
- Comply with all firm policies and practices
- Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned
- High School Diploma Required
