- Oversee the daily operations of the Client Accounts team, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assignments.
- Analyze workflows and team metrics, recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Provide hands-on training, mentoring, and coaching to team members, ensuring consistent application of billing policies and procedures.
- Resolve billing inquiries and assist attorneys with processing and collection of invoices.
- Lead project management initiatives, including project planning, development, and execution.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert for the team, addressing complex issues and providing guidance.
- Facilitate team meetings, preparing agendas, and tracking key discussion points.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment by coaching, mentoring, and providing regular feedback to staff.
- Stay current on industry best practices, identifying and implementing solutions to improve operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience in a complex billing function within a law firm or professional services organization.
- 2 years of experience managing or overseeing a billing/invoicing team.
- Experience with Elite and/or Aderant, e-Billing applications, and Business Intelligence software is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel is required.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and implement effective solutions.
- Strategic and innovative thinker with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring and team development.
- Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
