ABOUT THE ROLE
Manages all processes of the corporate philanthropic requests for the organization. Acts as a liaison between the organization requesting financial support and the credit union. Manages the donations strategy and planning of activities associated with donation activities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Maintains donation request database software (Kadince) and tracks all philanthropic requests received.
- With the SVP, Reviews and approves community donations and/or sponsorships to align with budget and credit union values.
- Communicates with requesting organization and provides necessary details to the SVP or the Donations Committee to help facilitate a decision as necessary.
- Handles coordination and fulfillment of a donation request, including but not limited to processing payment with accounting, tickets and table scheduling, ad placements and logo needs.
- Prepares and codes all invoices for payment and approval.
- Participates on various internal event committees related to donations and community support.
- Sets up volunteer efforts associated with the donation request in Kadince and facilitates reports results to log and track volunteer hours.
- Conducts standard administrative functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing preferred as well as previous donations experience.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively speak/present to various groups in the community, staff, and senior management.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving.
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously with a strong attention to detail that will result in an effective outcome.
- Must possess strong service orientation skills.
- Solid understanding of marketing principles and theory.
- Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and collaborate with others.
- Ability to work autonomously without continuous management.
- Strong computer application skills. General knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite or other Graphic design software. Must also be extremely savvy navigating the internet and social media platforms.
- Ability to function in a commercial office environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limitedto: fax, copier, telephone, etc. Some travel required. Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs - e.g.file boxes.
