ABOUT THE ROLE
Under general supervision, but following established policies and procedures is responsible for the interior and exterior maintenance of all Credit Union facilities. Responsible for performing a variety of custodial, facilities, courier and clerical duties on an on-going basis. Duties may include but are not limited to: project management, carpentry work, minor HVAC repairs, plumbing repairs, cleaning branches, trash removal, purchase of cleaning/maintenance supplies, schedule on-going and contracted maintenance. Responsible for completion of assigned errands and tasks per requests or on authorized schedules.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Manages all aspects of routine and complex facility design, construction or maintenance projects. Coordinates work activities of internal facilities staff, contractors and subcontractors to ensure satisfactory delivery of assigned capital improvement projects.
- Inspects all building locations to determine the need for repairs and renovations.
- Obtains bids/proposals from contractors for approved projects and any contract renewals. Makes various recommendations to manager when outside subcontractor assistance is required.
- Ensures inside and outside of credit union facilities are clear of trash and other debris. Ensures parking lots are maintained and painted according to schedules. Responsible for snow removal and/or ice removal management.
- Performs various building maintenance tasks including but not limited to door and door hardware, wall and floor coverings, metal stud and drywall, mounting equipment or items to walls, faucet and toilet repairs, and drain cleaning.
- Performs a variety of facilitates duties including but not limited to: replacing light bulbs, moving furniture, relocating records, and setting up rooms for meetings, etc. Maintains inventory of necessary supplies, i.e. light bulbs.
- Performs and/or coordinates in-house repairs, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and construction. Is responsible for general maintenance of all credit union properties, ensuring that all mechanical equipment is functioning properly.
- Mentors, coaches, and trains team members on facility-related issues. Provides leadership and directs the work of other facilities employees to complete tasks and projects, as needed. Acts as the manager in charge of the Facilities department during the absence of the AVP and VP of Facilities.
- May perform all duties of a courier or assist the courier, as needed.
- Performs other facilities and/or clerical related duties, as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) education required.
Experience/Skills/Knowledge:
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Must have construction and/or handy-person related experience.
- Must have the ability to use power tools correctly and safely.
- Must have strong service orientation in alignment with the Credit Union's mission and core values.
- Must have the ability to function in an environment in which working conditions vary: noise, heat, dust, snow, ice.
- Requires lifting of boxes up to 60 lbs.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and produce an effective outcome.
- Excellent verbal and reading comprehension skills required. Must be able to read and write.
- Excellent organizational ability and time management skills required.
- Ability to function in a financial institution branch environment and utilize standard office equipment including but not limited to: postage machine, fax, copier, telephone, etc. Travel required
