Maintenance and Operations Specialist
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our 1st shift Maintenance Department, ensuring the effective management of equipment, buildings, and support machinery.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing a maintenance program, including maintaining an inventory of spare parts and utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to track and support equipment maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all safety rules and procedures within the department and workplace.
- Maintenance Program Support:
- Implement and manage a maintenance program, including maintaining an inventory of spare parts for critical equipment.
- Use CMMS to track and support equipment maintenance, ensuring modifications and preventive maintenance programs are updated and well-documented.
- Database Management:
- Update the CMMS database, supporting changes to the preventive maintenance program and ensuring machine vendor documentation is captured and available.
- Contractor Management:
- Manage outside contractors and services as assigned by senior management, ensuring their work complies with company standards and regulations.
- Collaboration with Other Shifts:
- Work across shifts to coordinate the installation of new machinery and equipment within set timelines.
- Reporting and Documentation:
- Provide reports to support the approval of work carried out by third-party vendors, ensuring their work meets company and legal standards.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Collaborate with the safety manager to acquire necessary permits and certifications from local or state authorities, ensuring all permits are valid and up-to-date.
- General Support:
- Provide general support for all aspects of external services, including managing vendor relationships, costs, schedules, and necessary permits.
Requirements
- Education: A degree in industrial, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, specifically within maintenance.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to learn new technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, both independently and with support.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bilingual Spanish.
