Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
- Investigate people for suspicious activity or possess
- Maintains confidentiality of resident information in compliance with HIPAA
- Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff.
- Promotes and protects residents rights and treats residents with dignity and respect.
- Attends in-service and education programs and obtains continuing education required for certification. Demonstrates the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
- Maintains professional appearance by adherence to community dress code.
- Operates equipment in a safe manner and the only equipment utilized is that which previous training of use has occurred.
- Safety precautions and practices are utilized with all activities.
- Follows OSHA and fire safety guidelines and regulations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Monitors and is familiar with all emergency and safety equipment including security cameras, phones, and life safety systems.
- Secures all areas of the building, checking for open doors and any unusual activity.
- Conducts regularly scheduled rounds in and around the building
- Responds to emergencies according to Navion Senior Solutions policies
- Informs supervisor of any resident issues or concerns
- Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings
- Strives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
