About the Role - Assists Press Operators with materials, make-readies, cleaning and daily maintenance. Responsible for ensuring all materials are ready prior to set up. Absorbs information from operators and supervisors in order to advance to a Press Operator position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following prioritized and categorized duties. Other duties may be assigned.

- Establishes goals to improve personal and department performance.
- Plays a role in the execution of company goals that when achieved will accumulate into the fulfillment of the Company Vision.
Quality Control
- Employs all quality control check lists and adheres to all established quality procedures.
- Monitors press output for proper color, copy and data.
- Make sure proper stock is being run for jobs.
- Marks rolls with proper documentation.
- Keeps the shop clean and organized with a focus on increasing productivity and keeping the machines running.
Production
- Drives forklift and clamp trucks.
- Ensure the paper is pulled and ready before the operator starts make-ready.
- Keep presses loaded with paper.
- Ensure each press is stocked with supplies.
- Helps operators during the make-ready, cleaning, and daily/weekly maintenance.
- Keeps work areas clean and organized.
- Weigh skids and waste baskets.
- Observes and learns press operations from operators.
- Attends all classes that pertain to press operations.
- Assists with maintenance of equipment.
- Inputs accurate information into the data capture system.
- Works overtime and in other departments when necessary.
Safety
- Knows and follows all safety procedures.
- Reports work related injuries to supervisor.
- Operates all equipment in a safe manner.
- Is proactive and promotes proper safety habits to fellow craftspeople.
- Ensures press and surrounding areas are OSHA compliant.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Schedule: 3rd Shift (10am-6pm)
