Connected Vehicle - Data Scientist Intern – Summer 2025

Join Us as a Connected Vehicle - Data Scientist Intern!

 

We are looking for a Data Scientist intern to join our team this summer. Some of the things our intern will work on will be to design, develop and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement. Intern will interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis and experiments.

 

About the Intern Program

12 week program with start dates on: May 12 or 19 or June 240 hours per weekMust graduate between December 2025 - May 2027

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the collection, processing, and analysis of large datasets from various sources, including vehicle sensors, telematics, and production systems
  • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems related to vehicle performance, predictive maintenance, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, software developers, and business analysts, to identify data-driven solutions and opportunities
  • Participate in the development of data visualization tools and dashboards to communicate insights and findings to stakeholders
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and statistical modeling to support research and development projects
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations to share results and recommendations

Minimum Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree

Additional Requirements

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B or F-1 status)

Desired Skills

  • Minimum required cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Natural Science, Economics, Engineering or similar quantitative field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Previous internship or project experience in automotive engineering is preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving
  • Previous internships or work experience is a plus
  • Ability to work independently

We provide a competitive total rewards package which ensures job satisfaction both on and off the job.

 

The expected compensation hourly pay ranges for hires into our campus intern openings is $24 - $38/hour. The hourly pay rate is based on year in school and is non-negotiable.
