What You’ll Do:
The Instructor Trainer II position performs advanced training work to ensure employees are effectively trained in data governance tools that support the implementation of a metadata library project. The contractor will support the Office of Data Governance (ODG) and Information Technology (IT) teams as well as programs across the agency with developing and implementing standardized documentation of business and technical metadata for all agency data in agency data governance tools. The contractor will also assist with other data governance priorities, as needed.
Location:
The primary work location(s) will be at 1100 W 49th Street, Austin, Texas 78756. The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Draft a variety of communications, training materials, and presentations to educate program staff
- Clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences, both verbally and in writing
- Collaborate daily with public health program staff to support the implementation of metadata initiatives
- Work in a fast-paced environment, keeping track of multiple program areas simultaneously
- Ensure effective change management by working directly with program/business staff
- Provide briefings and reports for executive staff and other stakeholders
- Foster collaboration within cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- 5 years of Experience in designing, developing, and implementing training curricula, presenting technical information for non-technical staff
- 5 years of Experience working directly with program/business staff to implement a technical solution and facilitate change management
- 5 years of: Experience preparing verbal and written briefings for executive staff and other audiences
- 5 years of Experience working with cross-functional teams and building collaborations
- 2 Years (Preferred): Experience with Informatica data governance tools (Axon, Enterprise Data Catalog, and/or Informatica Data Quality)
- 2 Years (Preferred): Experience working with public health program areas or data assets
- 2 Years (Preferred): Experience with web-based learning management systems and e-Learning authoring tools
- Strong initiative, motivation, and work ethic
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Experience in metadata management and data governance
- Familiarity with public health initiatives and data assets
