As Head of Asset Management, you will be at the forefront of shaping operational strategy, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring projects deliver maximum value. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead a cross-functional effort to enhance performance, compliance, and risk management across a portfolio of cutting-edge battery storage projects.
Your expertise in utility-scale energy storage, market dynamics, and contract management will be instrumental in driving financial and operational success. Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Head of Revenue to create a strategic plan that maximises the operational performance and value of their energy storage assets.
- Establish a system to incorporate insights from operating projects into the development, procurement, and construction phases, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Prepare and deliver monthly asset management and O&M reports, providing financial and operational insights for internal stakeholders and financing partners.
- Oversee third-party contractors and consultants, including O&M, NERC, SCADA, and operational data analysis providers, ensuring effective collaboration and performance.
Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in the energy sector, specialising in the technical management of operational assets, with recent expertise in utility-scale battery storage and a strong track record of leadership.
- Deep knowledge of ERCOT and other power markets, including regulations, market dynamics, and pricing structures.
- Proven ability to develop and execute contractual and technical strategies to enhance availability, maximize revenue, and manage risk.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate operating data, identify risks, make informed decisions, and implement solutions.
