What You’ll Do:
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer and Visual Communication specialist with expertise in preparing and reviewing deliverables for an IT services contract. This role requires a strong ability to develop compelling and visually engaging PowerPoint presentations for Government customers, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex technical information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical writing, visual communication, and digital communications, with an emphasis on translating technical data into digestible and persuasive content for both technical and executive audiences.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Develop, review, and edit IT-related contract deliverables, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with Government requirements.
  • Create high-impact PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate key messages, technical data, and project updates to Government stakeholders.
  • Utilize visual storytelling techniques to enhance understanding and engagement in technical documentation and presentations.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, and stakeholders to translate technical information into user-friendly content.
  • Maintain and refine digital communication materials, including infographics, one-pagers, marketing collateral, and reports.
  • Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and design across all materials while aligning with Government and organizational guidelines.
  • Assist in crafting and editing marketing communications that promote IT initiatives and program successes.
  • Leverage visual design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Visio) to enhance presentations and other communication materials.
  • Conduct quality assurance and compliance checks for all written deliverables before submission.
  • Support proposal writing efforts and contribute to responses for Government RFPs, RFIs, and white papers.
What You’ll Need:
  • 3 years of experience in technical writing and/or deliverable creation within an IT or Government contracting environment.
  • Proven expertise in PowerPoint development, including animations, transitions, and visual storytelling techniques.
  • Strong understanding of visual communication principles, ensuring effective presentation of complex information.
  • Experience in digital and marketing communications, with the ability to craft compelling messaging for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite(Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) or similar design tools.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and translate technical content into audience-appropriate messaging.
  • Strong attention to detail, grammar, and formatting in both written and visual content.
  • Knowledge of IT terminology, Government contracting requirements, and technical documentation standards (e.g., style guides, 508 compliance).
  • Experience with proposal writing and Government contract deliverable preparation is a plus.
Set Yourself Apart With:
  • Active IRS MBI Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Marketing, Visual Design, or a related field.
  • Experience in IT, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, or Digital Transformation projects.
  • Familiarity with Government frameworks, policies, and compliance for IT projects.
  • Certification in technical writing, visual communications, or digital marketing is a plus.
