Job Title: Advanced Cytotechnologist
Duties:
- Analyze gynecological and non-gynecological cytology samples for diagnostic purposes.
- Use advanced imaging systems for enhanced slide evaluation.
- Screen and report abnormalities in fine needle aspiration specimens.
- Ensure laboratory compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols.
- Prepare specimens and maintain accurate documentation of results.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and training sessions.
- Support pathologists by providing diagnostic insights and recommendations.
Skills:
- At least 1 year of professional experience in cytology.
- Expertise in using imaging tools like Hologic Imager.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cytotechnology required.
- Current Cytotechnologist license issued by NYSED.
- BLS certification preferred.
Pay Range: Weekly: $2,800 - $3,450
