Certified Anesthesia Technologist
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Anesthesia Technology program.
- National ASATT certification as an Anesthesia Technologist.
- CPR/BLS certification required before employment.
- Minimum three years of experience preferred.
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred.
- Knowledge of reprocessing methods, aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance.
Duties:
- Assists anesthesiologists in all locations where general anesthesia is provided.
- Prepares and turns over anesthesia rooms for procedures, including invasive cases.
- Troubleshoots and maintains anesthesia machines of various models.
- Assists with arterial line placement, CVC insertion, and thermo-dilution catheter placement.
- Ensures infection control compliance with anesthesia equipment and supplies.
- Manages supply orders, restocks anesthesia carts, and ensures availability of necessary tools.
