Job Title: Application Development Analyst
Duration: 6 Months (Contract)
Location: Tallahassee, FL 32301 (On-site)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Development Analyst to join our team in Tallahassee, FL. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the Application Services Office by developing and deploying cloud solutions, providing GIS support, and performing other technical assignments to optimize enterprise systems and workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and deploy cloud solutions for the GIS System of Engagement (SoE) to integrate systems, optimize resources, and ensure a seamless user experience.
Support and maintain AASHTOWare systems, including product upgrades and enhancements.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather business requirements, create deliverables, and analyze data to drive technology adoption.
Provide technical GIS support, including GIS web map services and ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal & ArcGIS Server).
Deliver expert-level technical support for ArcGIS Online, ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Portal, AASHTOWare, and related extensions and add-ons.
Design, implement, and manage ArcGIS, ESRI WebApps, and AASHTOWare projects.
Install, develop, and manage ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise environments and desktop software.
Maintain Portal user accounts and ensure metadata accuracy and upkeep.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years in web-based application development (e.g., ESRI WebApps) with ArcGIS Enterprise.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Portal management.
Proven expertise in ArcGIS Online (minimum 8 years).
Strong experience with SQL Server and Geodatabase management.
Minimum of 5 years of experience with ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcGIS Pro, including Extensions.
Hands-on experience developing cloud solutions or using web-based ArcGIS APIs (e.g., ESRI JavaScript API, ArcGIS REST API, Portal API).
Familiarity with Mongo, Express, React, Node JS (MERN), .Net Core, Entity Framework, SQL Server, or Angular is highly desirable.
Key Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in ArcGIS Enterprise and Portal management.
Advanced GIS data management, including governance practices and metadata maintenance.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for web application and GIS-related issues.
Strong customer-facing skills to identify and implement GIS solutions.
Ability to design and manage SDE Geodatabase systems.
Expertise in migrating applications to the GIS Enterprise platform.
Familiarity with deploying, testing, and supporting Esri software and web applications.
Proactive approach to performing regular health checks on GIS systems, identifying, and resolving potential issues.
