Position Overview :
We are seeking a Client Support Specialist / Pension Analyst to assist Relationship Managers in managing and supporting business relationships with municipalities and pension plan members. This role involves coordinating client interactions, maintaining compliance with pension administration policies, and contributing to data analysis and reporting efforts.
Key Responsibilities : Client Support & Relationship Management :
Assist in managing client files, records, and documentation in compliance with standards and best practices.
Coordinate and schedule client meetings, prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and track action items.
Serve as a point of contact for municipalities and members, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly and professionally.
Support the preparation and distribution of client communications, reports, and presentations.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality client service and satisfaction.
Data Analysis & Reporting :
Compile and analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Prepare operational and activity reports for municipalities, members, and internal stakeholders.
Assist in developing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Pension Administration & Compliance :
Maintain knowledge of pension plan documents, including defined benefit and cash balance plans.
Understand key employer fiduciary obligations and plan administration responsibilities.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to pension administration.
Assist in conducting risk assessments, audits, and compliance reviews.
Support the implementation of risk mitigation strategies and control measures.
Training & Special Projects :
Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge of pension administration.
Assist in onboarding new team members and contribute to the development of training materials.
Support special projects as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience in client support, pension administration, financial services, or a related field preferred.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for professional client interaction.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with data analysis tools.
Knowledge of retirement plan administration, compliance regulations, and pension-related documentation is a plus.
