Clinical Medical Scribe
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant college coursework.
- Minimum of three years of administrative or office management experience.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR required.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation ethics.
- Excellent typing, spelling, grammar, and oral communication skills.
- Solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to interpret and expand medical abbreviations.
- Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply logic.
- Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance if working onsite.
Duties:
- Accurately transcribe real-time patient encounters into the EPIC EMR system.
- Ensure all documentation is HIPAA-compliant and meets medical legal standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of EPIC EMR updates, medical coding, and billing practices.
- Assist healthcare providers with documentation of treatment plans and assessments.
- Manage confidential patient information with discretion.
- Quickly assimilate new knowledge and adapt processes as needed.
